Why Direct Access in Michigan is Important

APTA Michigan is dedicated to the advancement of the physical therapy profession and removing barriers for patients across the state of Michigan to access Physical Therapy.  Did you know you can see a PT without a referral from a physician? In the state of Michigan, you an receive treatment from your physical therapist for up to 21 days or 10 visits (whichever is sooner) without first going to see a physician. The team at APTA Michigan is committed to removing these restrictions so that you can have unrestricted access to care.
