Our Purpose:
To promote education, research and other endeavors to facilitate development of the art and science of physical therapy and improve the accountability and credibility of the profession.
The APTA Michigan Institute for Education and Research, Inc. is a sister organization to APTA Michigan (APTA MI). The APTA Michigan Institute for Education and Research was created by the APTA Michigan Board of Directors to provide a tax sheltered non-profit entity to promote research and education related to physical therapy in the State of Michigan. Annually scholarships, research grants, and awards are given out by the institute to encourage research and the continuation of the physical therapy profession.
